Scrumpy Barn (sleeps 3 + baby) is cosy and quirky, set in tranquil surroundings on a small cider farm with various animals including pygmy goats, sheep, pigs and even reindeer, it enjoys views of the countryside and the sea beyond.
Ideal for exploring the sights of Cardigan Bay and the Cambrian Mountains. Whether you like walking, cycling or driving you're assured of getting the most out of the stunning scenery.
In close proximity there are fisheries, steam railways, castles and museums. There is an abundance of bird watching opportunities with the farm having nesting red kites, buzzards, tawny and barn owls plus a rare visitor the hoopoe!
The Georgian harbour town of Aberaeron (5 miles) has an array of colourful buildings, several eateries and home to the famous honey ice cream which you can enjoy sitting by the harbour.
New Quay (7 miles) offers boat trips to see dolphins and seals or what about some sea fishing for mackerel or bigger!!! and the historic university town of Lampeter is just 10 miles inland.
The farm is located between the larger coastal towns of Aberystwyth and Cardigan, both offering shopping opportunities, theatre, cinema, castles, steam railways and thriving farmers markets with fabulous local food, drink and crafts.
If history is of interest the National Trust property of Llanerchaeron is only 3 miles away. An elegant Georgian villa with its own farm, walled gardens and lake to explore, plus cafe located on the banks of the River Aeron.
